Biography

I am a placement student from Cardiff University researching the use of novel gene regulation and genome editing tools in Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli for future biological applications. My project specifically focuses on catalytically dead Cas enzymes and recombinases and will explore how their function and activity vary under a wide range of conditions and host strains.
